Eggplant. I literally created this to symbolize "eggplant emoji", but it's an eggplant for those who don't have their mind in the gutter.

The pattern is free. However, there's VENMO, CASHAPP, PAYPAL, or simply send me a message if you'd like to support this guy. :)

To get started you will need:

Materials:
  • Peaches & Cream - 2 colors (Black Currant, Rosemary)
    • Sidenote: You can use any yarn that you prefer for your amigurumi projects, I just happen to use cotton yarn for all of my creations.
  • Hook - size E / 3.5mm
  • Yarn needle
  • Fiber/poly fill stuffing (I also use scrap yarn to stuff the pieces)

Abbreviations (US Terms):
  • MR - magic ring
  • SC- single crochet
  • INC - SC increase (two in same stitch)
  • DEC - SC decrease (SC two together)
  • SL ST- slip stitch
  • [ ] - repeat steps inside symbols as many times as it says
  • ( ) - the number inside parentheses will let you know how many stitches in that round

This pattern is worked in rounds. If needed, use stitch markers to keep track. Or you can be like me and live on the wild side.

Tips:
Keep the ends inside the project so that you only have one end to weave in. Weaving in yarn is probably the most daunting task, so any way to have less of it, the happier you will be crocheting.

Directions:
Body (Black Currant yarn):
  • R1: SC into MR 6 times
  • R2: INC x 6 (12)
  • R3: [1 SC, INC] x 6 (18)
  • R4: [2 SC, INC] x 6 (24)
  • R5: [1 SC, INC, 2 SC] x 6 (30)
  • R6: [4 SC, INC] x 6 (36)
  • R7 - R12: SC around (36)
  • R13: [4 SC, DEC] x 6 (30)
I would start stuffing firmly at this point and continue until the end.
  • R14 - R16: SC around (30)
  • R17: [3 SC, DEC] x 6 (24)
  • R18 - R19: SC around (24)
  • R20: [2 SC, DEC] x 6 (18)
  • R21: SC around (18)
  • R22: [1 SC, DEC] x 6 (12)
  • R23: [DEC] x 6 (6)
                Fasten off. Sew ends together.

Stem (Rosemary yarn)
  • R1:  SC into MR 4 times (4)
  • R2 - R3: SC around (4)
  • R4: [1 SC, INC] x 2 (6)
  • R5: [INC] x 6 (12)
  • R6: [1 SC, INC] x 6 (18)
  • R7: [2 SC, INC] x 6 (24)
We will now form the 6 points
  • R8: Chain 5 (coming back down chain) skip 1, 1 SC, 1HDC, 2 DC. Skip 4 st from R7 and sl st into 4th stitch. (do this 6 times)
Fasten off. Attach stem to body and sew.
